
Infrared sauna is generally well tolerated with rare complications or side effects. Please read below because we care about your health.

Any of the below described contraindications or warning should be considered prior to each session:​

Medications to be aware of, anticholinergics, such as amitriptyline may inhibit sweating and can predispose individuals to heat rash or to a lesser extent, heat stroke. Diuretics, barbiturates and beta-blockers may impair the body’s natural heat loss mechanisms.

Avoid antihistamines and anticholinergics, such as amitriptyline may hinder sweating and can cause side effects, such as rash or other more dangerous side effects like heat stroke.

Pregnancy/Breastfeeding – If breastfeeding or pregnant may not use the sauna.

Menstruation may temporarily increase their menstrual flow.

Guests over the age of 70 will be permitted for infrared sauna use, but at a lower temperature.

Cardiovascular Conditions – Individuals with cardiovascular conditions or problems

Do not use alcohol before your sauna session. It is not advisable to try and “sweat out” a hangover. Guests who appear intoxicated or inform us of alcohol consumption prior to use of the sauna will forfeit their scheduled appointment and no refund or credit will be issued.

You should not use the IR sauna is your have a chronic condition associated with reduced ability to sweat.

In the rare event that you experience pain and/or discomfort, immediately discontinue sauna use, and exit the sauna.
